Chris is the founding director of Policy Works Limited. He has a degree in Microbiology form Imperial College, London and a Masters degree in Environmental Management from the University of Stirling.
For the last ten years he has called sunny Nelson ‘home’ and worked in a variety of roles at the Nelson City Council, latterly spending four years there as Group Manager Community Services; prior to that he managed the Council’s Environmental Programmes team.
Past experience includes heading up an environmental education NGO in central Scotland, working as a consultant providing technical and business advice to composting and other waste management companies, and conducting research and monitoring services for the UK’s WRAP programme.
Outside of work he has a small lifestyle block with various animals on it – currently running Wiltshire sheep, although we have had highland cattle and saddleback pigs.
Chris has previously served as a trustee of the Laggan Forest Trust and is a lifelong supporter of Falkirk Football Club. COYB.
